How it's made
From clay to character
How a custom prosthetic piece is made, so the finished look is built to last.
Sculpt
The design is built in clay, with every scale, scar and ridge worked by hand.
Mould
A mould is taken from the sculpt so the piece can be cast cleanly.
Cast & colour
The prosthetic is cast, then painted layer by layer for realistic depth.
Apply
The piece is fitted and blended into the skin, then finished for the camera.

Hi, I'm Maggie
I graduated from Solent University with a bachelor's degree in Prosthetics and SFX Makeup, and I also trained in photography, beauty makeup and film. That mix means I think about how a look will work on camera as well as in person.
I'm based in Cardiff and South Wales and willing to travel for work. Every job is different, so tell me what you have in mind and I'll work out the best way to bring it to life.
